Happy New Year! Mine was FANTASTIC thanks mainly to Augie! (thank you) I went on a great week-long vacation and had a lot of fun! Thanks to all those who made it possible.
Today was an eventful day. First of all I had an awesome and vivid dream! It involved many intricate disguises, fictional creatures, and a deathplot!! But don't worry, it had a happy ending. It was great because I kept waking up from it then falling back asleep right where I left off and that almost never happens! So it was below 0 today. Woohoo..... cold. In English we talked about Shakespear and started reading Hamlet. Team Sports was floor hockey today. There is this big mean jerk hockey player who was all up in my grill the whole time and tried to "start a fight" with me even. (But karma bit him in the butt and he ended up looking like a fool, having all of his friends laugh at him, and he got kicked out of his beloved game. Note for all big mean hockey players attending PHS: don't push and hit little girls in your Team Sports class. It's mean.) I also took a ball right to the mouth!! Hit by one of our star baseball players none the less. It was just wonderful. haha I didn't loose any teeth and I got a phat, fat lip to show as a trophy so I'm good. :) Haha Then Sociology was as weird as ever and I realized hmmm I don't have my keys.... Yes, I decided to spice up my boring day by leaving them tantalizingly visible, yet beyond reach in my truck. Thanks superhero locksmith that wasn't very verbose! I appreciate the 15 seconds you took to unlock my car! :)
I hope tomorrow is equally as exciting as today.... except maybe a little less pain and waiting around. :P
Happy 6 months, Aug!
Much Love!!

Week in review
Fall break was SUPER! I am realizing this especially today due to an increase in the decrease of my free time. :/ I have no idea what I did on Monday. If anybody does, please let me know because I am having trouble remembering. I have been thinking about it all day and I can't locate it in my brain. Then Tuesday I did something equally baffling until mutual! Basically Ash and I were the "judges" at the "spooktacular" then we sat and chatted with our super awesome leaders. So that was fun! Then we visited poor Brooke who got surgery and was feeling lonely. Then we went to 711!!!! Yes, slurpies are the perfect thing to get when it's snowing. Kailey enjoyed hers too! Then on wednesday was our "highly anticipated CB date night." Sounds just grand doesn't it? (OH! Hold up! I just remembered what I did on Monday and Tuesday. Stressed about this dang date night! There were a lot of different complications to getting this to work smoothly. But hey, how many people can say that they called a guy that they don't know out of the blue and asked him on a date for their sweet, pretty friend and had them say, "Sure!" and actually show up and have a fun time?? Not anyone that I have heard of! Plus, it was totally worth it. :)) <--- That's not supposed to be a double chinned smiley face by the way.
Where was I? Oh yes. The date night. So we, as a laurel class, decided that we wanted to be nice to our priests and show them that it's ok to ask girls on dates as friends and just have a fun time with no awkwardness and that we don't bite (most of the time). So we did. We went to Park Meadows Mall and ran around and took pictures with our picture captions and may have been asked to leave by the mall security guard.... maybe he didn't see that we were being totally respectful and wearing our CTR rings or maybe his ranger hat was just on a little too tight. We won't blame him for that. Then we had a "picnic" AKA eating on a blanket in Ashlyn's basement because it was snowing. Then I went home and had a phone date. :)
Thursday I went to Mel's because her Swine Flu died so she could breathe and talk at the same time and everything. We're so proud of this new development. :) We uhh.... made pizza and cleaned her room (That's a much bigger deal than you'd think. Since the massacre of her beloved tadpoles (RIP) she has not been able to clean her room. She did not have a floor at all and sometimes her bed was not visible.) At work the children were being hilarious! The boys were sticking snow in their shirts to make them look sweaty. Olivia told us what we should be for Halloween... bahaha. And much more! Then after work we finished cleaning and ate and watched Jericho!! Then slept. Malena has weird dreams and she is a total blanket hog, but I'll keep her. ;)
Friday..... I don't remember what I did before work (I did work everyday, I know that!) I actually don't remember what I did after work either..... I'm sure you're missing out on some really exciting stuff....
Saturday was FRIGHT FEST at Elitches. Me and Mel had such a good time! It's kinda nice when you don't have a whole group to decide who rides with who and what ride to go on next. We had a really great time and didn't lose our phones on the rides! And on the light rail back, we even got creeped out by these Wangsters and had to talk in German for a while so they wouldn't know what we were saying. Oh and we ate this huge funnel cake that astounded many onlookers. (Think about it. If you saw a little girl carrying a huge funnel cake with all of this stuff on it, what would your face look like?) Then I babysat these angel children.
Church was great! Although there were many death stories. And I guess the secret's out now, thanks to Sister Knudsen, I didn't want a doughnut on Sunday because I am watching my weight. So much for telling people things in confidence... :P I booked flight to Washington :)
Did you know that the Beatles made the U.S. crime rates drop during their first American show!?!? I think I should be able to write my research paper for U.S. history on them! Mr. Olsen would rather I choose Elvis because he is actually American. Who cares if the Beatles are from the UK?? They were more popular here anyways...
Good luck at state today Hannah Jo! (Bon Jovi) You'll do fantastic I know it!!
Speaking of Bon Jovi, He's coming to Denver in March!! Woo!
Mom, you're awesome and you make movies that keep me laughing. :) We need to figure out costumes for tomorrow!
Much Love!!

Homecoming
To all of the people of the male gender. You are sooo lucky that you do not have to wear heels. Just saying. I'm pretty sure that my shoes broke a couple of toes. Haha But at least I broke them dancing! Last night was good old Homecoming. I went over to Hannah's to get all dolled up. Then we went to August Moon for dinner. This poor lady was running the restaurant by herself! We offered to help but she wouldn't let us because we were all dressed up. Malena and I decided we wanted to try duck. The verdict? It tastes exactly like chicken. We also ate a few "tape worms." Baha. We had a really good time at dinner and were so relieved to be done smiling for a million pictures. We each had 3 dates. Hannah, Melissa, Malena, and I had the best time! We had a sweet playlist to jam out to in the Murano! When we got there, we were practically the only senior girls there. So what do we do? Go to the front and dance like crazy!! There was a HUGE difference between the seniors and everyone else. The lower classmen glared a lot and started a lot of drama and made us crack up, and the seniors just didn't even care and danced like idiots and had fun! Many girls, we noticed, decided to wear the exact same dress as their friends... fun. The majority of our class was very drunk, but at least they were entertaining to watch. Oh, and if one person there had the Swine flu....... I'm pretty sure we all have it now.
So it was fun for the most part even if my feet strongly disagree.
Much Love!!

A Spectacular Day!
Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Mommmmmyyyy!!! Happy birthday to yoooouuuuu!
Today, as you might have guessed is one of the best people in the worlds birthday! Julie Clark! Mom, I just want to tell you how much it means to me that you have had as many birthdays as you have. You are wise like an indian cheif and awesome like you've seen the 60's and 70's. Thank you so much for everything you do for me and pretty much everybody else around you.
Much Love!!

When Quarters Fly.
Once upon a time, there was a German field trip to the Denver Public Library. On this seemingly mundane field trip ventured Malena (the one that you shouldn't make angry) and Michelle (the little one that couldn't possibly be a senior). So these 2 AP students had groups to take around to the various pictures and lead through a packet. Michelle had a kid named Arthur in her group which she thought was quite exciting indeed. Because Marc Brown might possibly be a genius and Arthur is a spectacular show, duh. But anyways, then they had the "oppourtunity" to listen to some German natives speak about where they were when the Berlin Wall came down and a very exuberant photographer that believes that she know everything about any situation and her word is fact even though she has never lived in Germany. Very exciting, I know. And they all got home safely and lived happily ever after. (Except for a slink that is guilty in her heart for being a deceitful meanie a lot of the time!) The End.
................
Just kidding. That's just the boring part. After the exhibits, we had a little less than an hour to hang out around the Capitol building and the 16th Street Mall. Malena and I decided to go get some food. So we are booking it (because it is about 4 or 5 blocks down and 3 over) and being watched very closely by... less fortunate/ possibly homeless people. One old guy even slowed down to check out Malena's feet? Um yeah, we aren't sure. But he was wearing a Harvard sweatshirt.... Anyways. So we are passing an outdoor eating area at a coffee shop, still maintaining a brisk pace, when this rather intense looking man catches our attention. He is wearing a long, billowing black coat (even in the heat), has extremely long, ratted hair, has a mad glint in his eyes, and is wearing a yarmulke (those Jewish hat things). He is half running, half walking right towards us screaming at the top of his lungs about something that we cannot understand. It is made very clear that he is angry about some mistreatment and believes he is taking a stand. Malena and I must have moved to the other side of the sidewalk in our trance-like state because he did not run into us as it seemed he might. But he did, however, throw an angry volley of quarters at us and the coffee shop. And trailing behind him were some homeless people picking up all of the quarters that we was supposedly handing out. So that was exciting. Then we went to this huge Mcdonalds and are standing in line. We hear a man say, "Can I help who's next?" We look up and only see women.... Well, looks can be decieving.... He/ she made a very convincing woman, besides the hands and a few other oddities, I must say. Ah the wonders of make up. Then we book it back to the capitol and there is a protest going on! We were so excited! Could this day get any more exciting for us sheltered P-Towners?? So we go up to the protest and shout for a little while and take pictures like tourists before getting back on the bus and going home.
And what did I get out of this excursion? I decided that Parker is like the Shire. We all live in our little bubble of "peace" sort of unaware of most of the things that go on in the rest of Middle Earth. So it was fun to experience the difference on such an eventful day.

Is it only Wednesday?!?!
Last weekend, a great event took place called a "3 day weekend." It just sort of sounds magical doesn't it?? Labor day weekend. One of the little girls at work asked why it is called Labor Day. And I guess I didn't really know the legit answer. So being the nerd that I am, I looked it up thinking there would be an actual good reason for such a boring name. But no. It is just a break from work or labor that some McGuire guy invented. But I think it should be a 4 day weekend because if you travel out of town, then you have to drive/ fly back on the holiday which certainly does not give you an adequate break.... just saying. And what if someone goes into labor on labor day? .... I think it would be quite ironic to give birth on labor day. But anyways.
So my family went on the traditional Fulford's camping trip! Woo! We had the entire family, (minus Hannah), Jake Buhl, Bard and his family, Madison, and Malena! It was a blast! I led 2 groups through. I know the cave pretty dang well now. So I am thinking of just moving up there and building a house and becoming a cave guide and maybe, if I am really lucky, I will start to look like Gollum!
But yeah, we had a really fun time! Except Liam did not like sleeping there. Poor baby boy. Jackson and Liam are both unbearably cute these days!!! Malena is a "Lumber Jill" now so I changed the words to a rhyme we all know just for her.
(To be spoken like the 3 little pigs in Shrek talk)
Jack and Jill went up a hill to split a pile of wood.
Jill took longer cuz Jack was stronger. But that's ok, she's a girl.
But anyways, she got a gnarly bruise that I am slightly jealous of on her leg. We also talked alot about enchiladas. bahahaha. Love it. Crushed ice is always good for Malena. Oh, and no, I am not a pillow, Mel, but a person that gets the breath squeezed out of her when you roll over on her.
We went and picked berries! And it started raining and it was on this steep hill and everyone kept falling and it was just priceless. Haha. Ummm yeah. We basically just had a great time and did a lot of random things that produce smiles and an abundance of laughter. :)
On Tuesday school was.... well school. Then work was, as always, entertaining and long. Then our laurel activity was crazy packed with salad and planning, goodbyes and phone calls, and much more. :)
The doctors have come to the conclusion that I do not have the fatal illness previously mentioned. But I have anemia, which is basically no big deal.
Today in German we got our first essays back. Let me just say that the writing is the only thing I currently do well in that class. I got a 6. That is on an AP scale, not out of 100 mother! Haha We got some other stuff back too.... but they were not so good.... aka bad. haha
Kara leaves tomorrow. We will miss you, Hon! You better come back and visit as much as you say you will! I will fight those idiot rumors flying around at school to the death!
Lights:
"Don't be a foil." Thanks Sister Butler. You are the best Seminary teacher ever!!!
"Michelle! Are you Mormon?!?!" Yes. How many years have you been teaching me Frau? 3? Haha
Playing football with kindergartners gets dang brutal! They throw it as hard as they can but it only makes it to your feet and it bounces up in your face. (You might be thinking, "move them closer to you." They were about... 4 feet away. Adorable.)
So close to going to the Killers concert! With backstage, VIP passes. Thanks Phil! You are as nice as you are tall. And you have cool cousins, aka the drummer in the Killers.
Derek Higgins learned that you don't "not attack" me in the hallways unless you want to be kicked. Ha!
Um... and also. I do believe that Spokane, Washington has really high iron levels in basically everything... So I should be allowed to go up there and be healed from this oh-so-terrible affliction... Just sayin. :)
So basically, if you don't know that I love you, then you need to turn off the computer and call me because I love you all and I am a very lucky little person to have you in my life and if I don't tell you enough, just... spit on me or something.
Much Love!!
